Dr. Davis shows us the true power of imagination and its sometimes dire consequences with this truly unique sci fi adventure Refuge for the Khymera! Novelist Martin Godfrey provides refuge for stray imaginative thoughts known as Chimeras in his books. But when he returns home from a convention and one of those sentient Chimera’s returns home with him, he’s in for a wild ride. I have always known Dr. Davis’ works for their truly unique takes on things and deeper thoughts they leave you with, and Refuge for the Khymera doesn’t disappoint! I loved this idea that stray imaginative thoughts are actually sentient beings with a fickle nature, and how Davis blended this into a unique adventure with a healthy dose of romance and deception! This was also a really fresh look at the struggle between reality and imagination that leaves you thinking when you’re done (and possibly making a few Chimeras of your own). If you’re looking for a very unique sci fi adventure that is anchored strongly in character development (in a good way), definitely come provide a Refuge for the Khymera! Joshua Grant
